Building Maine Communities–with community buildings
Architecture for us is creating a thoughtful balance of Context (neighborhood) + Building (physical presence) + Program (activities) + Economics (budget). Many of our projects are highly complex, and we are known for balancing multiple objectives and sometimes contradictory considerations. As a result, we are driven to produce practical, elegant and budget-responsible designs. No singular style dominates, but our approach seeks a timeless fit rather than a trendy statement.
We emphasize collaboration, careful listening, clear communication and a team approach from the beginning of each project, including the Owner and Builder. Lachman Architects & Planners is a full service firm providing a broad range of architectural services. 502 Deering Center, a new mixed use development in the heart of historic Deering Center Village, is an excellent example.
