Building Maine Communities–with community buildings

Projects Rehabilitation & Preservation

Maine has an abundance of quality historic architecture that was built to be practical, efficient, and attractive. In addition, many of these buildings are often located prominently and are architecturally significant, and therefore symbols of identify and pride. Historic Preservation is maintaining and improving these ‘elders’ of our built environment, adapting them to meet contemporary expectations, and preparing them for ongoing service into the future.
