Building Maine Communities–with community buildings
Projects Civic & Cultural
Civic and cultural buildings such as town halls, libraries, churches and theaters are cornerstones of vibrant communities. They are our most noble buildings–they serve both our highest aspirations (democracy, education, arts) and the widest user group (citizens). In addition to their social role, these buildings typically play an important physical role since they are often located prominently and architecturally significant–and therefore symbols of identify and pride.
